The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) announces a workshop focusing on lipodystrophies and the associated metabolic consequences of altered fat deposition. Speakers will address basic mechanisms, clinical issues, and new concepts for treatment.

Plenary talks, selected “hot topic” presentations, and a poster session will provide a forum for interactions among basic and clinical scientists, as well as established and new investigators in the field.
